Licence

It’s actually rather simple! After successfully completing our course and passing the test, take the paperwork the trainers give you to Service SA. You’ll be able to purchase your licence there and then without doing any further tests. See here for more details.

Yes. The SA Boat Operators Licence covers both recreational boats and PWC.

There is currently no requirement for on-water training to obtain a SA Boat Operators Licence (ages 16 & up).

Course

Yes, South Australian Boating Licence Course is accredited by the South Australian government to deliver training and testing on behalf of Service SA. All training is delivered in accordance with government standards.

Just take our paperwork into any Service SA motor registry to purchase your licence. There is no further testing required. You’ll have 6 months to do this (from date of the course)

Of course! What better way to get into the fun boating has to offer than to learn from professional, experienced skippers? We keep the learning at a level suitable for beginners, so every student can follow along for a simple, enjoyable course.

Yes, however an administrative fee will apply.

When you book a course, we incur costs such as venue hire, material printing, staff wages etc. So if you cannot attend your originally booked course, we will need to charge an administrative fee to recuperate those costs.

The course can only qualify persons 16 years and older for the SA Boat Operators Licence.

Those under 16 seeking a special permit will need to follow the process seen here.

Guaranteeing a pass just to get a licence puts both you and the boating community at risk. That’s why no one should expect to pass without first gaining a solid understanding of the rules of the water. The good news? Thanks to our expert training and strong focus on boating safety, the overwhelming majority of our students pass on their very first day.

Bookings

Bookings are made online anytime – click here – or over the phone via 0449 211 989 during normal business hours on weekdays.

To mitigate any potential risk to your financial information, all payment processing is handled by Stripe and PayPal – 2 of the largest payment merchants across the globe.

The instant you book, we incur costs related to your course.

As per company policy, all sales are final. In the event that you cannot attend the course, refunds are not available.

Assuming it is within the 6 months expiry period, we are able to recreate your paperwork. Simply give us a call and we’ll be able to post out a new certificate for you or you can pick one up in person.

An administrative fee will apply to do this.

Note: certificates will be dated from the original date of your course. It’s important you don’t leave this to the last minute as the new certificate may not reach you in time.
